We are able to provide guidance concerning your choosing, installing and using various accounting software packages. We are Quickbooks Pro-advisors and for the past few years we have focused on the various QuickBooks products because they are inexpensive in cost, scalable, and relatively easy to learn. While there is overlap between these accounting packages, they are basically appropriate for different sizes or kinds of businesses.
Quickbooks has developed a fairly robust on-line, cloud based, version which may be a good choice for many businesses. One advantage, since it is cloud-based, is that we can access your data from our office and thus offer real-time advice or, if you authorize, even make adjustments or do bank reconciliations. Quickbooks Pro is a desktop version of the software that is especially efficient (and inexpensive) for offices that manage multiple different companies since one installation of the software will handle multiple entities. And Quickbooks enterprise version, with the many add-ons available, will grow with your business to include various inventory, billing and other options. All of the versions of Quickbooks can include payroll which is cheaper and generally more flexible than outside payroll services. In addition, you can move easily between the various versions of Quickbooks without losing any of your past transactions.
All of these systems need to be setup for your business and for the most efficiency and usefulness they should be set up by an accountant or someone familiar with accounting. We can help you with any of these choices.
